Specialist Resourced Provision Teaching Assistant - Term Time - Special Needs Position
Valley Invicta Academies Trust requires a Teaching Assistant to join our team at Valley Invicta Primary School at Holborough Lakes. This role is based within our Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) which makes provision for children with autism, often alongside other complex needs.
This contract will be for 35 hours per week for 38 weeks per year.
The ideal candidate will be kind, caring and flexible, with a willingness to learn. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to form positive relationships with children, parents and staff. You will have empathy and resilience in supporting children with complex needs. The role involves working flexibly within our SRP team to support children across the primary age range, both within the SRP classroom and within the mainstream school environment. This includes supporting children’s communication skills, wellbeing and access to the curriculum. You will work closely with our staff team and outside agencies to help the child to meet their targets and support them to feel happy and comfortable in school. This might include delivering agreed Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy or other programmes of support. Previous experience working with children with SEND or within an educational setting is beneficial.
