Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

Showcase Sessions

We are proud to offer a range of Showcase Sessions that invite parents into the classroom to experience their child’s learning first-hand. These sessions involve taking part in a live demonstration lesson alongside their child, providing valuable insight into how key concepts are taught.

Focusing on core subjects such as Maths and English, the Showcase Sessions are closely aligned with the National Curriculum. In Maths, parents will see how children develop fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills using methods like number lines, part-whole models, and bar modelling. In English, sessions highlight approaches to reading comprehension, phonics, spelling strategies, and the development of strong writing skills through guided and independent tasks.

These sessions not only help parents feel more confident in the teaching methods used in school but also strengthen the vital partnership between home and school. By understanding the language and strategies children are using in class, parents are better equipped to support their child’s learning journey at home, reinforcing key skills and building consistency between the classroom and home environment.

Together, we ensure that every child feels supported, challenged, and celebrated in their learning.
