Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils!

We were extremely proud to have held the first Trust Primary Debating event at Holborough Lakes last week. Year 4 pupils from  , and  came together to join in with a debating workshop and then went on to participate in a full debate.

We are pleased to announce that we will be working towards becoming a Hedgehog Friendly Campus with  and  The team will work on a number of actions to protect hedgehogs, enhance their habitat and educate others on how they can help.

Yesterday some of our children had a wonderful day at Valley Park School at a Taster day of fun drama, music and creativity! They did some great day dancing, doodling & singing!

As a special treat for the hard efforts and resilience in their SATS exams, the Year 6’s had a fun time bowling together as a class at Hollywood Bowl in Rochester! They played an hour of bowling and competition was high! They then enjoyed a lunch together!

On Friday 19th May our Year 5 children took part in the VIAT Young Adventurers Camp out at Buckmore Park where they helped pitching and collapsing tents and slept better than we expected! They took part in some exciting team building activities, fun football and more!

To celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty The King, the children came dressed to reflect a country within the Commonwealth. Each year group presented information on their chosen country during an assembly.

On 27th April the Yr 5 children took part in a fun-filled sports event at Holmesdale School. Three other schools attended which made for a competitive day. The class played team games and tried a range of athletics events. The children were praised for their sporting fairness!

Admissions Arrangements

Valley Invicta Primary School at Holborough Lakes has a published admission number (PAN) of 30 students, admitted into the Reception Class. Applications for places will be made in accordance with Kent local authority's co-ordinated admission arrangements and will be made on the Primary Common Application Form (PCAF), provided and administered by the Kent Local Authority.

Appeal Dates and Information 2026-2027

If you have not been offered a place, the law entitles you to appeal against that decision to an Independent Appeal Panel. The panel is completely independent of the school and the Local Authority. All appeals will be heard online, which has the advantage that your appeal can be heard from your home or place of work.

If you wish to appeal for a place in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, please use this link to complete your appeal online.

If you wish to appeal for a place in Years 3, 4, 5 or 6 please use this link to complete your appeal online.

Please do not use any other appeal form or send your form to your local authority. It is suggested that you download the explanatory booklet about appeals which you should read before you complete the appeal form. Those applying for a place in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 are advised to read the section in the booklet which refers to appeals for these years. Booklet Link  

You should include any evidence or supporting material with your appeal form and you must give the grounds for your appeal at the time you lodge your form. Your appeal form will not be accepted unless you state the grounds for your appeal. You may appeal for more than one school.

Please note that the online form will ask you to download two utility bills dated in the last three months. If you do not have access to a scanner, please take two photographs with a mobile phone and upload the photographic files.

Full details about the hearing will be sent to you with your invitation to the hearing.

The timetable for appeals is as follows:

Last day for lodging appeal forms for a place in Reception to start in September 2026

12 noon on Wednesday 20 May 2026 to guarantee that your appeal will be heard in the first tranche of appeals. Appeals lodged later may not be heard until the second tranche which could be in September 2026. You must state the reasons for your appeal and supply any documentary evidence at this stage.

The stage 1 part of the hearing (with other parents present) will take place on

Wednesday 1 July 2026, time to be advised on letter of invitation.

The stage 2 part of the hearing (individual private hearings) will take place on

Wednesday 1 July 2026, time to be advised on letter of invitation.

Invitation letter giving details about your hearing will be sent by the clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel

At least 10 school days before the stage 1 hearing.

Any additional supporting evidence

Wednesday 24 June 2026 at 12pm. You are advised that additional paperwork received after this (including on the day of the appeal hearing) will not be taken into account. Please provide the clerk with one copy of any new additional evidence by email only. These must be sent to clerk@educationappeals.com.

Due to the high number of appeals held at this time, this may not be sent until up to 15 school days after the last hearing for the school.

Timetable for appeals for mid-term applications is as follows:

Last day for lodging appeal forms following a refusal for a place ‘in-year’ or ‘mid-term’.

You must lodge the appeal form within 20 school days upon receipt of your letter of refusal. You must state the reasons for your appeal and supply documentary evidence at this stage. Appeals are held within 30 school days of receipt of the appeal form.
