Three of our Year 5 pupils decided to raise money by holding a sale on the green. The girls raised £32 which they used to purchase items for the local food bank. Working together they selected long life items and added up the costs. What a lovely gesture from our pupils! pic.twitter.com/R91A3St8aN

On 27th April the Yr 5 children took part in a fun-filled sports event at Holmesdale School. Three other schools attended which made for a competitive day. Imago Young Carers

As a school we work closely with Imago to identify Young Carers and put things into place for them that recogognise their responsibilities as young carers at home. 

Imago provide respite opportunities for Young Carers and as a school, we have set up our own Young Carer lunchtime group to recognise them.

During the lunchtime get togethers, it gives the Young Carers opportunities to get to know each other better. It can often be isolating whilst looking after someone at home and it is lovely to see the children asking each other for advise and realising that they are not alone in their situations. During club we take part in activites such as making mother's day cards, Easter crafts, Christmas crafts and much more.

We have been able to take part in some lovely activities. Most recently we were able to participate in a free pizza making experience at Pizza Express in Tonbridge Wells. The children really enjoyed the chance to make new friends within the school in different year groups and got to eat their delicious pizza's at the end of the session.
